Kuku Dal Adas – Red Lentil Patties کوکوی دال عدس

Zutaten

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 g red lentils
  • 1 large carrot
  • 20 g flat leaf parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic 
  • 2 eggs
  • 80 g panko breadcrumbs 

SPICE MIX

  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp Advieh ( instead 1/4 tsp. each cumin, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg)
  • salt, pepper

Anleitungen

PREPARATION

  1. Rinse red lentils well in a colander and bring to a boil in a pot of water. Simmer for about 10 minutes till they are al dente. Drain in a colander and let cool a bit.

  2. In the meantime, peel the carrot and grate roughly on a grater.

  3. Grate the onion roughly on the grater as well.

  4. Wash and spin the flat-leaf parsley and chop finely. 

  5. Peel the garlic and press through a squeezer.

  6. Put all ingredients including spices in a bowl and knead well by hand or with a mixer.

  7. Form into patties and fry in a bit of fat on both sides for about 10 minutes at medium temperature.

Serve with fresh Greek salad.
