Strawberry Donuts with Labneh-Rosewater-Glaze

Strawberry donuts in a "light" version, they are filled with juicy strawberries and then topped with more delicious strawberries.

Zutaten

INGREDIENTS STRAWBERRY DONUTS 

  • 125 g flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar 
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil 
  • 60 g strawberries finely diced

INGREDIENTS LABNEH-ROSEWATER GLAZE

  • 100 g Labneh (recipe to make yourself)
  • 125 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp rose water* (optional)

INGREDIENTS STRAWBERRY PUREE

  • 125 g small strawberries
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed

TOPPING

  • 9 Strawberries halved

Anleitungen

PREPARATION STRAWBERRY DONUTS 

  1. Preheat oven to 160°.

  2. Brush the donut pan with sunflower oil. 

  3. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 

  4. Combine milk, egg, vanilla extract and oil in a bowl and mix with a mixer. Add the dry ingredients and mix all together well. 

  5. Dice the strawberries very fine and fold them in. 

  6. Pour the batter into the baking pan. Bake donuts for 10 minutes, remove from oven and let rest for another 10 minutes. Then remove from the pan and let cool on a cooling rack. 

PREPARATION LABNEH ROSE WATER GLAZE

  1. Mix Labneh, powdered sugar and rose water well. 

PREPARATION STRAWBERRY PUREE 

  1. Puree all ingredients in a blender or mash with a fork and press through a sieve. 

FINALIZE THE DONUTS

  1. Drizzle half of the strawberry puree into the labneh Glaze and stir in patterns with a skewer.

  2. Turn donuts upside down in glaze several times. Drain on a cooling rack.

  3. Garnish with halved strawberries.

Serve strawberry donuts with remaining glaze and strawberry pur
