Ingredients

INGREDIENTS FOR DATE OMELET

  • 4 fresh Iranian dates
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of ginger
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp butter

Instructions

PREPARATION DATE OMELET

  1. Cut the dates in half and take out the pits.
  2. Put the dates in a small pot with cinnamon, ginger, and 3 tablespoons of water.

  3. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes until the dates are soft.

  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs with milk and a pinch of salt.
  5. Melt the butter in a frying pan.

  6. Add the soft dates and fry them in the butter for 2 minutes.

  7. Pour the egg mixture over the dates and let it cook until it sets.

  8. Serve the omelet on a plate and sprinkle with more cinnamon.
