Hello bread lover and fitness fan! For today’s World Bread Day, I’ve got an exciting new bread trend for you that’s not only super tasty but also packed with protein. Today, it’s all about the TikTok hype: Cottage Cheese Bread! Yes, you heard right – bread made from cottage cheese!
Of course, I had to tweak the recipe a bit, and that’s how my Cottage Cheese Bread with Turmeric was born. You only need a few basics: cottage cheese (the star of the recipe), eggs, flour, baking powder, turmeric, and salt. Just mix everything together, pop it in the oven, and in no time, you’ll have a protein-rich, delicious bread!
It’s perfect for any meal and so quick to make that you’ll want to bake it again and again. So grab your cottage cheese, check if you have the ingredients in your pantry, and bake yourself this yummy bread for World Bread Day!
QUICK AND EASY COTTAGE CHEESE BREAD WITH TURMERIC
TikTok is known for its crazy but often brilliant food trends, and Cottage Cheese Bread is definitely a hit. Cottage cheese is having its moment – and for good reason! It’s a great source of protein and super easy to incorporate into many recipes. Plus, cottage cheese is incredibly versatile! My Cottage Cheese Bread with Turmeric is also super versatile. It’s perfect for breakfast, as a snack, or as a side with your favorite dishes.
But be careful: My bread isn’t low carb or super high in protein, like the versions you often see in viral TikTok videos. Those recipes are usually made with mostly egg whites or protein powder and cottage cheese, without any flour.
I tried that, and well, let’s just say it didn’t really win us over. Plus, I’m not a big fan of protein powder. So, I did some experimenting and came up with my own delicious version. I used low-fat cottage cheese, but it works just as well with full-fat. You can also use lactose-free cottage cheese if you’re lactose intolerant.

World Bread Day was started in 2006 by the International Union of Bakers and Confectioners (UIB) and is celebrated every year on October 16th. The day highlights the importance of bread as one of the oldest and most essential staple foods around the world. Almost every culture has a long tradition surrounding bread, which often symbolizes community and sharing.
On World Bread Day, bakers from all over the world celebrate the variety and value of this amazing food. It’s also a reminder of the importance of supporting sustainable and fair practices in food production. It’s a day to share the love of bread – whether by baking, enjoying, or learning more about the art of breadmaking.

325 g cottage cheese, low fat
125 g flour, type 405
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp turmeric
2 eggs, L
COTTAGE CHEESE BREAD WITH TURMERIC – HEALTH BENEFITS
Cottage cheese is packed with protein, which helps build and repair tissues. It also provides calcium, which is important for bone health, and B vitamins that support energy production. The flour in this recipe provides carbohydrates, which are a key energy source for muscle growth and recovery.
Eggs are an excellent source of high-quality protein and contain essential vitamins like Vitamin D and B12. They’re also rich in choline, which plays an important role in brain health.
Turmeric adds even more health benefits, mainly thanks to its active ingredient, curcumin, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. There are too many benefits to list, but a few more include boosting the immune system, regulating blood sugar levels, and supporting heart health, brain function, and digestion.

TikTok hype: Cottage Cheese Bread with Turmeric!
Ingredients
INGREDIENTS COTTAGE CHEESE BREAD WITH TURMERIC
- 325 g cottage cheese low fat
- 125 g flour type 405
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 2 eggs L
Instructions
PREPARATION OF COTTAGE CHEESE BREAD WITH TURMERIC

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the cottage cheese and eggs until the mixture is smooth. You can also use a hand blender for this.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, turmeric, and baking powder.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the cottage cheese mixture, stirring well until combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

Bake for about 45 to 50 minutes until the top is golden brown..

After 20 minutes, you can use a baker’s knife to score patterns on the top (optional).

At 45 minutes, check the bread with a toothpick or skewer—if it comes out clean, your bread is done. If not, bake for another 5 minutes, keeping an eye on it.

Once done, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
